Just came back ytd frm chuch camp...


learnt alot about God and NS during the camp, really glad that i learnt more abt God!:D first day, the schedule was quite slack, just playing games and having workshops at night...the workshop is pretty interesting though, eugene and his vulgarities song and sexual-words-movie...lol, dun get the wrong ideas, he was just trying to teach us about influence of popular culture, btw Stan is quite a nice song, just ignore the lyrics and enjoy the beats;) it's quite sad that only sherman brought cards, so everyone had to survive with one deck of cards throughtout the whole camp:P


2nd day: after bfast and singspiration, we had forums, which is a very wonderful thing to be put into the camp, i really appreciated the forum...learnt alot abt NS life from Marcus, Wen Kai, Josh and Shangjun, hope they wun penalise me to become an officer just because i am a taiwanese...anw after lunch we had tonsa games at a field...the water bomb game was kinda funny...starting from briefing when eugene said we haf to erect a structure from each team to be protected, den some guys started laughing...including me, yeah, u noe y...lol! and the game ended like in 5 mins instead of the 1hr we had during orientation in sch, cuz there is lack of water bombs, oni one pail full!lol! anw must thank God for the gd weather we haf cuz it was raining just before all the games started, but when we were about to cancel the games, it stopped raining, thank GOD!:D we had speaker session in the night after dinner, i was kinda dozing off, crapppp, when can i stop falling aslp during services, speaker sessions...2nd night was really a better sleep than 1st night, cuz i borrowed eugene's NS insect repellant, so i can sleep without having to cover my legs with jacket in the middle of the night (already got like 10 bites over my legs and even palm on first night)...however 2nd night was much colder than 1st night, so was fighting the cold and not the mosquitoes on 2nd night, but relatively it's a better slp:)


3rd day started off with another speaker session in which i was dozing off AGAIN!!! but after the speaker session we had this group discussion about the changes in our lives and God being the unchanging God always there for us...I am really really glad we had this discussion and i learnt more abt God and his plans...with pro ppl like Jeremy, Eugene, Mingdao and Sing Ee in my group, we were able to discuss very actively and indepthly...learnt about God's plans for us and how we shld really pray and why, sounds fundamental but i am quite sure many of us Christians out there dun really understand the reasons behind praying and what we shld really pray for, come to me if u wanna noe more abt these:) so after lunch, my grp was discussing about our skit for talentnight...with spontaneous ppl like Mingdao, we came up with the whole idea pretty fast and of course, a very funny one...Afternoon was dragonboating...it was starting to raining very heavily when we stepped off the bus bringing us to Bedok reservoir, so Sherman, Eugene and I ran to the nearest telephone booth, very funny, then many others just wanted to squeeze in, so it's like 20+ ppl fighting for the phone booth!HAHA! in the end many just ran further to the toilet to take shelter...we all gathered in a big shelter beside the lake after a few transportations with a few umbrellas, the rain wasn't ceasing and the clouds looked extremely menacing...it's very very cold, especially for me wearing the black sleeveless singlet, cuz the wind just kept blowing and the rain just kept falling...we all prayed together for the rain to stop...and the rain stopped after awhile:) THANKYOU GOD! then we went for dragon boating, which many of us though was a good experience and we had much fun!(although Sharon was complaining of her muscle aches the next dayXD) it was talentnight at night, which was when many of us almost died laughing...Elroi, being the gay and funny host together with shy ethel, another host, hosted talentnight...my group won the best overall skit! was so happy!haha...we had this penguin land story, super funny, esp wen kai who won the best supporting actor, he and his mop!!!hahaha, wanna noe more? come ask me;) mingdao and liwei really made me laugh like mad, elroi too, i really respect ppl who can make me laugh so heartily, cuz in sch usually is me being the humorous one and making everyone laugh, only pak in sch can make me laugh like mad i think;) after talentnight is cluedo by eugene the pro thinker, thx for planning for a few days for cluedo!!! my group was the funnies group i think, instead of interrogating the suspects and getting clues, we went around accusing all of them and making fake claims and assumptions and harrassing the suspects, HAHA, mingdao even wanted to lie in the middle of the field to act as the victim who died!LOL! Desiree was sooo funny, here's the convo during our interaction time with this so called witness of the murder:

Me: so what sch are u studying in now? (she was supposed to be a student who witnessed the murder)

Desiree: NUS lor...

Mingdao: NUS stands for???

Desiree: errrr...(thought for awhile) Nation...

Mingdao and me: MURDERER!!!

think Desiree was just having mental block suddenly, so funny, basically my team was just accusing anyone who had inconsistency in his/her words regardless of whether it's purposely or accidentally,hahahaha...stella was also quite traumatised by my group, hahaha, she kept on saying i am not the murderer!!!lol! after the game we just slacked around and talked and played instruments for fun till very early in the morning...i was very fascinated by mingdao's jazz playing of piano...i really wanna take up jazz piano and guitar soon!:D


on the last day, cuz i slept at 4+ in the morn, i was a walking zombie again...we unpacked and prepared to move out of the campsite...after helping to unload stuff at the church, james offered to give me a ride to toa payoh, or so i thought...on the way, james asked where i stay and he actly took me all the way home!!!i was so surprised and kinda touched! thx James!!!

and that's basically my church camp, had much fun and learnt much stuff:D
and now i am packing again...leaving for taiwan tmr...pray that i will have a safe trip:)

In the morn, went to Eugene's house with Sunny, Neng Yang and Jiehui to play risk, wow, it's really quite hard to conquer the world, and lotsa luck is needed, haha but at least it's an intellectual game that allows me to exercise my brain, and the wantan mee there is not bad


Anw after tat went home to pack up and set off for chua chalet, e luxurious chalet!!! the catered food there was better than prom's one, at least to me, the food's more attractive! Drank lotsa ice wines and XO but didnt try the maotai tat is 53% alcohol, heard it burns ur throat though! but anw think cuz i drank tons of sprite together with XO, so my face didnt get very red, although Zong thought i was acting weird after drinking, lol!


Went to pick pam up from Pasir Ris MRT at like almost 12midnight...it began to rain super heavily just when i left the chalet to pick her up, so i didnt bring my umbrella which was in the chalet and we had to share hers...we got ourselves totally wet due to the raging rain!!!We even walked to the wrong road, good that we stopped halfway to ask someone:P there were frogs everywhere on that ulu stretch of road, pam was freaking out!XD anw we arrived at e chalet after awhile with my shoes totally soaked with rain water, including my socks and ankle guard, soooooo grooooooossssssss...good that i rushed home early in the morn the next day(today) to air my wet shoes and wash my wet jeans:P pam still got whole day rehearsal at her church's concert, oh well, jiayoujiayou!


Anw i cannot dun mention abt the majhong we played during the chalet. we played from 10+ pm to like 6am and died after tat, cuz we were trying to complete one round of dong nan xi bei but bei played halfway all died liao, lol, must say zongyi, brendan, Elvin and me are zai ppl who were determined to finish the round, although it would haf finished if Samuel who was playing initially in place of Elvin didnt lian zhuang so many times, lol!


Thanks Mr. Chua, for making an effort to organise this chalet, i really had much fun. and thx for all ur teachings for the past few years, u r really one of the zaiest teacher i haf ever seen, i am glad my learning journey had u as a guiding light and will still remain as the guiding light in the future! Will never forget you, Faraday Chua...


Tmr still got church camp, i am appointed as the group leader again...quite tired out by chua's chalet, but nvm, slp earlier to nite, church camp will be fun, yes it will be...:)

For some reason, my internet explorer can't connect to blog spot...so YY suggested Firefox, yes now i can connect, but seems like i can't edit my first post-_-, is it cuz it's too long???

Anyway, we had our TDO (The Delin Outing) yesterday..at least for the first half of the day... early in the morning, we went to school to play bball, we are: AWX, Nd, Grace, Ze, YY, me and DELIN...we tried our best but couldn't beat delin's team, whichever team he was in, haiz...too zai already, once the ball left his hand, it's considered in, and we couldn't never outrun him or get past him with the ball...for it is the delin outing!!!lol! After a few hours of barbecuing ourselves on the bball court, we decided to stop and go for lunch...YY and Grace went home, Delin went for his PSC talk and Nd, AWX, Ze and me went to haf our lunch at Food Republic...the fruit juice there actly costs like 2.50 per cup, can u believe that???

We went to Cine after that to check out movie timing for "Flag of our Fathers", at the same time saying hi to Tim and CY who have been kidnapped by our seniors to go for the 5-hr kbox marathon, heh. basically, we were just killing time to wait for Delin to finish his PSC talk and join us for the movie...but apparently Delin went home after the talk, so we decided to have our TDOWOD! (The Delin Outing without Delin) Zong joined us and I asked pam along, so the few of us went down to the new Cathay cineplex to catch our movie...Pam ah Pam, she thought i said Lido, so she went to Lido, den after that i told her no, it's at Cathay...So she went to Cine's Cathay--__--" finally after the movie has started for an hour, she reached the REAL CATHAY and joined us for the movie, hahaha, must have burnt off much peanut cakes after walking around tat much!XD the theatre was real cold btw...was shivering halfway thru the movie...

After that Pam and Ze left, leaving us few guys left, so wad's there to do with only guys around? needless to say...LAN! Bern joined us after his band and we went to play lan...was thrashed, but i had lotsa fun!:D

It's quite a tiring day, but it's worth it...jiayou Delin, go ahead and defend Sg first, we will join u soon...

Hi everyone!

I have always dreaded to blog, dunno how many times ppl ask me to start a blog but i simply am too lazy...even though i had one in sec 4, tat was kinda a failure which died after 3 posts...(was quite surprised grace actly found e abandoned blog though)

However!!! My dear friend YY has helped me make a super cool and wonderful template and promised to prompt me every now and den to blog, so yes, lets all prat together tat this will be a successful blog tat u all can read abt david(me)'s life;)

Alright, since this is my first post, i shall write a long one, firstly, let's talk about prom!

Ok, we guys did tons of shopping for prom (for e first time in e whole 2 yrs), Nd bought his chase-cow shirt, Nic bought his brokeback mountain shirt, Biondi slacked and bought at G2000, and as for me, i bought at Zara, felt quite bad for spending my dad's 299 bucks, but i think it looks really nice! Den i got my shirt at 77th street, but didnt wear it in e end cuz my dad bought me a 60bucks shirt somewhere else which Nd, Nic and my mum said looks better than e 77th street one, so oh well, wasted my 45 bucks:x

And other than shopping for prom, we also had band practices, which were real fun times! I finally bought my electric guitar after A levels, and it's totally black, looks kinda cool to me but to some ppl it's dull...Anw, we booked studios cuz Pam wasnt in Sg and we couldnt use her house...it's good that we got the student promotion at Tiet Studio and it's 5 bucks per hour!!!so each of us paid only 5 bucks for total of 7 hours there!!! Jamming is way fun, cuz all of us had background in the instrument we playing, so it's quite fast mastering it. We spent most of our time coordinating our music and making the singer sing in tune (not saying anyone specifically;)) I must say Kim is really commendable!!! She joined us halfway and was willing to learn and stuff, she is really amazing, and Kim, yes, you are part of the band and just as important as anyone else of us!!! Furthermore, Kim had to start off our band performance cuz of the song The Scientist. She did it without showing much fear, I was really proud of Kim that day during prom!!!:) And Pam, although you left the band halfway, you are still part of the BROADBAND and hope u enjoyed our performance during prom!:D

During prom, it's just tons of photo-taking and walking around to chat, but it's a wonderful night when all the girls you know in school changed so much and the guys becoming more handsome cuz of the suits and hair and stuff...oh, and i shldn't forget to mention abt the hairdo incident we had...Delin, Zong, Nic and I went to Kimage at plaza sing to style our hair...we were informed it's about 20 bucks per person, so yeah ok...and the good thing is they are all leading and master stylists, so it's really great that we can get it at such a cheap price! So we started styling...in the midst of it, i overheard Nic's stylist asking nic if he wanted to haf his hair cut as well so that it will be easier to style...Nic of cuz said can lar! Free one wad, somemore so kindaly asked, so cannot reject... So in the end Nic paid 52.50 while the rest of us paid only 22.50...Somemore Nic didnt show his student's pass so he didn't get the 15% discount that we got, so yeah, he got double conned by the master conman;) lol, cuz apparently the haircut was not free...and Deling got a hairstyle with only the fringe changed into all pointing at one direction and Zong's hair went back to the same messy stlye even before prom started...:x But i am quite contented with my hair, looks kinda classy and quite different from the usual me... here are some pics...

Alright, after prom, my class went to the prestigious hotel 81 that everyone only dares to mention but doesn't dare to enter...So being the courageous 05S78 as usual, my class booked the place with different ulterior motives each...;) but anw we didn't spend much time in the hotel cuz got the stupid rule that only 2 person can be inside the room at any point of time, what a rule to promote population growth, tsktsk...so we went to the nearby hawker centre and sat down to chat till morning, quite tiring...then the guys went to airport to send fukan off while me and tim slept for an hour b4 we set off to boon lay for our interview workshop...the gals continued to sleep till 11+ i think, lucky gals...(anw note that we slept in diff rooms, gays one room den guys and gals one room...)(no lar, guys one room, gals one room) Finally, i reached home after a super long trip from boon lay to yck after the workshop, den slept early to prepare for class chalet the next day...

Class Chalet! Dunno why, i appeared sian to some ppl but actually i was quite high...ok, so first day we had steamboat which just means lotsa uncooked big chunks of vege into our stomachs and some common stuff like sausages and crab rolls, so sad dun haf beef and stuff, probably cuz faq was there and we had to eat halal food, oh well, nvm, compromise compromise...anw after that we presented Mrs. Cheng with the present we prepared for her, she seemed happy and touched, so were we:D After that, Mrs. Cheng left on the last bus with Zhu Xuan and we started playing games that i have planned...It's kinda cool that our classmates all became so enthu and talented and spontaneous! It's such a fun time that we all had, watching ppl acting and playing the games...then it's the movie guessing game that Zong organise...It's super funny too, we had to say something to make people guess the movie in the first round, den in the second round only one word is allowed to be said, then in the 3rd round we can only act...the best ones are Colic by Nd, Brokeback Mountain by Pam pointing at Chuan Yuan and Iron Ladies and Meet the Fockers by Chuan Yuan...btw can canyone pls tell me how to act our Spirited Away???

Anw after games is watching of Korean movies and ppl started to lame and slp around...I chose to go outside and play guitar in the silent night, it's a peaceful feeling i had there, thinking about lotsa stuff...but went indoor after awhile cuz i got cornered by spiders, ants, mosquitoes and stray dogs...I went to bath after that, then played guitar with Pam till she fell aslp, den went for a walk with Kim, YY and Gloree...We listened and sing songs at the playground for quite awhile...After that, we went back to the chalet and woke everyone up to send vincent off at the airport...yep, by then i was already zombieing...went back to chalet and slept for 3-4 hours after that b4 i went to join the guys to play at the pool and bowling area...played fighting arcade games with Zong and lost both, DAMN! but anw that night was kinda normal for all of us, some of us watching movies, some of us playing majhong, some gals were chatting upstairs, as for me, i was all over the place, watching majhong playings, making barley and stuff...Tf pointed out tat there were only 6 cup noodles left, but alot of people want to eat, so i began to worry...then pam and i went out to search for food, lol, in the end we brought back some cheesy meatballs, but nvm, at least they filled some of the stomachs...slept quite early that night, slept for like 9 hours i think, then we checked out with the sweet class gals cooking breakfast for us:) We went to have lunch at Bugis after that and parted...everyone was kinda sad, but we have decided to meet up again soon!

Oh well, was kinda pissed and stuff over the NYAA camp matters, but anw it's all okay now, we have postponed the camp and set the dates, and i am quite happy now cuz of some thoughts and doubts cleared in my mind and stuff...:))

Looking forward to Chua's chalet!!! Wine Festival here i come!!!
